# Kulibri

# Installation steps


## Laravel Beckend

1. Clone the repository

```
git clone https://gitlab.com/alexander.gvt/kulibri-laravel.git
```

2. Chnage the working directory

```
cd kulibri-laravel
```


3. Install dependencies 

```
composer install
```

4. Setup the database

Rename  .env.development into .env
Create a new mysql database. 

Update the database configuration in  .env 
Of course you can chnage the db name and user name if you want.

```
DB_DATABASE=kulibri_local
DB_USERNAME=kulibri_local
DB_PASSWORD=your password
```

Use the following commapnd to generate the database tables 

```
php artisan migrate:fresh --seed
```


5. Start the backend server

In order to run the backend server, open a terminal and type

```
php artisan serve
```

The  above command will start the server at port 8000

Use the follwoing url to check if the server is up and running

```
http://localhost:8000/api/version
```

The browser should  display the current version of the backend API


6. Setup and run the frontend 

To install the VUE fronent perform the folliwng command

```
cd kulibri-laravel/frontend
npm install
```
